Alfred F. Jones (goamerigo) is from Himaruya Hidekaz's 'Axis Powers Hetalia' (sometimes written 'Hetalia: Axis Powers').
Alfred is something of a magpie -- he is fascinated by shiny objects and concepts. He cares very little for things that do not directly involve him, but he's quick to get involved if he senses excitement. He often acts rashly, without considering the consequences. He's a bit preoccupied with appearances and fancies himself a 'hero'. Effervescently positive and optimistic, he has a 'can-do' attitude about everything.
He is also something of an inventor, though many of his inventions and ideas ultimately serve no purpose or do more harm than good. He's known for having a nearly terminal lack of knowledge of common geography and his sense of direction is pretty pathetic. Additionally, he is by no means a gourmet and will eat all manner of strange things, with his favorites being American classics like hamburgers and hot dogs.
Alfred is known for his extreme distaste for Arthur Kirkland, the anthropormorphic version of England in the series. Nevertheless, the two were close in the past and Arthur is probably one of the 'people' to whom Alfred is the closest. Nevertheless, Alfred considers himself to be somewhat superior to his fellow Allies, especially England/Arthur.
Alfred is played by Clara.
Official canon
Alfred, being an anthropomorphic version of the United States of America, has the same 'character' background as... the country of the United States of America. He was raised by Arthur Kirkland (England) and, after being left to fend for himself for many years in the yet-to-be-colonized US, eventually declared himself independent from his brother. The Revolutionary War, which Alfred wins, ensues. The two did not get along well forever afterward, and still squabble from time to time, due in large part to Arthur's strict belief in traditional values and Alfred's preoccupation with the new-fangled and adventurous aspects of the world.
He is a young nation and is considered by his peers to be childish and something of an upstart. Alfred joins the Allied Powers in their fight against the Axis Powers during World War II, where his first appearance in the Hetalia comic consists of himself declaring that America will be the 'hero' of the war -- everyone else is just back-up.
Head canon (stuff I made up)
Being who he is, it only makes sense to me that Alfred would have a very short attention span. What fascinates him one moment may be of complete disinterest the next. Additionally, his vernacular is ever-changing, because I tend to imagine him having a bit of disassociation with the time period in which he resides from time to time. This is also so all kinds of different caricatured aspects of his character can be displayed. For example, Alfred of the Civil War era might have a Southern accent -- though I'm not one to actively attempt a Southern accent in text form. Alfred of the WWII era, which is where I brought him from for the purposes of this roleplay, has a more traditional and non-descript accent and vocabulary. Obviously, this also does not exist in canon so much, largely because the series is in Japanese and it's impossible to encompass all of the verbal ticks that make up this sort of character without them actually speaking their native language.
Also, he seems to have a tendency to regard all girls as 'cute', though what this means even I am not totally sure.
Alfred has a tendency to interact with The Voice of Reason inside his head, except bodily. If he has a (halfway) reasonable thought, he can sometimes be found stamping his foot against the ground -- as if stepping on the Voice -- or perhaps punching thin air. Don't ask me, he's the muse, I'm just the mun.
Game canon (stuff that has happened in the game)
Upon arriving on the island, Alfred meets a few of the ladies and learns of his fate. He generally, and outwardly, seems largely unconcerned about being uprooted and magically transported to Moksa. His internal thoughts on the matter are not initially revealed. His first inclination is to seek out food, which he does with the help of some of the people he meets. He eventually finds and settles into his room, though he has yet to meet his roommate. Alfred finds his computer and discovers the voice function, which he prefers to typing. The keyboard confuses him a little. He seems to enjoy his classes so far, though his first pop quizzes didn't go so well and he barely passed.
A week into his stay, he is pranked by Kaito and Frau (despite having yet to meet both of them) and magically transformed into an eagle person. (Ongoing event.)

Kikumaru Eiji - Alfred's roommate. As of this update, they have yet to meet.
Ty Lee - One of the first people Alfred met on the island. He finds her cute and mangles the pronunciation of her name quite badly (think 'Taily', rhymes with 'Emily'). They seem to have a lot in common and Alfred enjoys her company greatly.
Shion - Alfred's first contact on the island. Shion was deaf when they met, and they had some trouble communicating. Alfred also finds her a bit cute.
Rebecca - They've only had brief contact so far. Rebecca seems to think Alfred is sort of insane. Alfred is beginning to reciprocate the feeling.
Flora - Alfred met Flora when he first came to the island. He doesn't know she's a fairy, because if he did, he'd probably consider her some kind of hallucination, since he does not believe in fairies.
