Koizumi Akako

Koizumi Akako (menaremyslaves) is from Gosho Aoyama's Magic Kaito, and has made appearances in his other series, Detective Conan. She is a witch, the legitimate heir to the "scarlet arts", and apparently destined to rule the world, though she's more interested in making all the world's men fall in love with her. Which they do (more or less), with one exception: Kaitou KID, AKA Kuroba Kaito.

Akako is played by Meredith.

Official canon

Akako is 17. She lives in a large castle, is attended to by an ogre-like servant, and goes to high school in Tokyo, at the same school as other Magic Kaito characters. Upon learning that there was a man in the world who could resist her charms, she vowed to make him fall in love with her. Knowing that this man was the Kaitou KID, she immediately concluded that Kaito was KID when he easily rejected her.

She frequently plots to use her magic to make Kaito fall in love with her (or to kill him--either option leaves her with all men as her slaves), failing each time for some reason or another--often because she's too kind to make a properly black-hearted witch. She's rather self-centered, but now that she's developed sincere feelings for Kaito, she goes out of her way to protect or warn him from danger. Don't try to take him for yourself, though, or she'll come after you!

Akako's magical powers seem to have no limit. She can create love charms, evil-inducing necklaces, and voodoo dolls and use them to great effect. She owns a working broomstick, a large deadly-looking scythe, and exotic-looking robes and jewelry that she uses during her witching times. She can create potions to summon Lucifer out of hell to ask questions of him. She also has a magical mirror and crystal ball, which she can also ask questions of (and whose answers she doesn't always agree with). There are downsides, though: Akako is not allowed to use her magic in front of normal people. If Akako ever cries, she will lose her powers.

Head canon

Her ogre is named Idor. She and Hakuba Saguru met before their first official interaction in Magic Kaito, though he seems to be the only one of them to remember. Unconsciously and unwillingly, she is becoming good friends with Nakamori Aoko, and she sometimes feels bad for keeping her magic a secret from her.

Game canon

While flying on her broomstick one morning, traveling from her castle home to school, she got caught in a windstorm. By the time the winds fell, she was flying over an island she didn't recognize, and her broom was slowly falling out of the sky. She landed in the courtyard of Moksa, and was surprised to find a letter tucked into her skirt.

She has since spent some time suffering from a side-effect of the reduction of her magic, before borrowing some of Flora's ingredients from home to experiment with.
