Linali Li (dark_steps) is from Hoshino Katsura-sensei's D. Gray-man. She is played by Anna

Linali is short, slender, and prone to wearing black. She has long, dark black hair, generally tied into two ponytails (short-haired Linali makes me sad), and her eyes are a dark purple. She begins the series wearing an exorcist's uniform that consisted of a tight top with the silver cross on the left shoulder, and a short skirt. After that uniform is ruined in battle, she begins to wear a uniform that consists of the same kind of top, but with a pair of shorts and a half skirt to the left side. She always wears her Dark Boots; when deactivated, they are black mid-thigh high boots, but when activated they become knee high with green stripes from her toes to her mid-thigh.

 

Personality-wise, Linali is very determined and loves her friends. She constantly worries about them and gets really angry when they put themselves in danger or try to overreach. She explains to Allen that her friends are her world, and the only reason she fights Akuma. It is hinted she hates the church, because they took her away from her brother, Komui Li (her only remaining family),  when it was discovered that she was compatible with the Innocence. Komui joined the Church 3 years later, but Linali feels guilty for "trapping" him in the church for her sake. She explains to Allen that her friends are her world, and when one of them dies it feels like a part of her world has been destroyed. She may or may not have a crush on the ever-oblivious Allen.

How she got here!

Linali was travelling on the ship with Lavi, Kanda, Miranda, Anita, Crowley, and the others on their way to find General Cross in Edo. After snapping herself out of her former inactivity (due to having to leave Allen-kun behind in China), she asked Anita for some hair bands. After Anita put her hair up, she headed out to the deck, ready to rejoin her friends. On her way out, she noticed a bottle caught on the tarp covering one of the lifeboats. In the bottle was a note, and Linali excitedly pulled it out, thinking back to stories her brother had always read to her. She read it quickly, puzzled about the meaning. Suddenly, a giant white shape leapt out of the ocean and swallowed an astounded Linali whole. The last thing she saw as she lost consciousness was.... a giant... rabbit???

Notable stuff that's gone on:

 

-Just after her arrival, Linali befriends a girl named Harada Riku and they become really close.

 

-A beach party with spiked punch leaves Linali passed out and the others carrying her home; Linali experiences her first hangover.

 

-Very soon after Tsuzuki's arrival, Linali agrees to become his partner while he's here, as a replacement for Hisoka.

 

-Linali's boots are stolen by Bakura, and the gang gets together to try and reclaim them. Much talking and ridiculousness ensues.

 

-A drinking party ends with Linali kissing Atem, Fuji, and Tsuzu and being carried out by her brother.

 

-Linali's brother Komui arrives, and immediately hates all the boys Linali is involved with.

 

-Attending the Halloween ball with Fuji instead of Atem results in teh DRAMAZ; Linali ends up helping a very sleepy Atem back to his dorm room, where he proceeds to use her as a pillow.

 

-After much unintentional flirting, many misunderstandings, and a whole lot of both of them falling all over the place around each other, Linali and Atem officially became a couple. Much needless fluff and adorableness shall ensue. (No, Komui still doesn't know).

 

-Linali's unevolved boots started to act up, hurting her and becoming completely useless. To make them evolve (since they couldn't drag a level 3 akuma onto campus) General Cross decides to fight Linali. It works; the stress caused by having to fight a general makes Linali's boots evolve to their "Crystal-type" form. However, Linali is pretty badly injured and unable to try them out for a while.

-The New Years' Eve party ends with Linali's dress torn and a confrontation with Sebastian that makes her doubt her friends. After a misunderstanding with Atem, she starts to realize how wrong Sebastian was.
